Roadway Embedded Smart Illumination Charging System for Electric Vehicles

Inspired by the fact that there is an immense amount of renewable energy sources available on roadways, such as mechanical pressure, this study presents development and implementation innovative charging technique for electric vehicles (EVs) fully utilizing existing roadways state-of-the-art nanotechnology power electronics. The developed Smart Illuminative Charging a novel wireless system uses LEDs powered piezoelectric materials transmitter source thin film solar panels placed at bottom EVs receiver, which then poised to deliver harvested vehicle’s battery. were tested their mechanical-to-electrical conversion capabilities relatively large-area EH2N samples (2 cm × 2 cm) produced high output voltages up 52 mV upon pressure. Furthermore, lab-scale prototype device was testify proposed mechanism illuminative (i.e., “light” coupled pavement vehicle transfer medium).
